Choi Sown Le All~Chopin Recital
Choi, a graduate of the Royal College of Music in London and the Conservatoire de Musique of Geneva where he was awarded the Premier Prix de Virtuosire with Distinction, Choi studied with pianist Michelangeli and conductor Celibadache.
He has performed with renowned conductors such as Maxim Shostakovich and Fukumura and appeared as soloist with Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Prague Chamber Orchestra, Central Philharmonic Orchestra and Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also participated in Pittsburgh Asian Music Festival, Music Festival in Thonon, Swiss Bach Festival and Hong Kong Arts Festival.
A recipient of the “Instrumentalist of the Year Award” from the Hong Kong Artists Guild in 1990 and the “Contemporary Performer – Golden Dragon Award” from Hong Kong (Overseas) Literature and Arts Association in 1998. He won the First Prize in the 1999 Pinault International Piano Competition in New York.
